Wakeboard

Obviously, we think wakeboarding is one of the most awesome things you can do on the water. It’s so awesome in fact, that it’s been shortlisted for inclusion in the 2020 olympics! Whoop! So what makes wakeboarding so awesome? Last time we checked, the definition of ‘awesome’ was described as “being towed behind a powerboat at speeds ranging from 18-25 mph with your feet strapped into a short, rectangular board, with the option of flipping several metres up in the air”! Wakesurf

The equally awesome cousin of wakeboarding, wakesurfing even further resembles, you guessed it, surfing. After getting up on the wake, wakesurfers will let go of the rope and ride the steep face behind the wake’s peak. A true individual, wakesurfing uses a different kind of board, much like a super short, wide surfboard without the boots and bindings of a wakeboard.

Wakeskate

Whoever thought of skating on the water is a genius! Cheers Thomas Horrell for pioneering the wakeskate. Never before seen in Cyprus, this epic new sport frees riders from boots and bindings while they’re towed by a boat on a heavy, concave board with a grip tape surface, just like a skateboard, but wider. Wakeskating allows for maximum maneuverability on the water and of course, endless tricks.
